Dr. Domenico Baldi is an accomplished medical doctor, academic, and clinician with extensive expertise in prosthodontics, implantology, maxillofacial rehabilitation, and advanced dental biomaterials. Born in Genoa, Italy, he earned his M.D. with honors from the University of Genoa in 1987, followed by a cum laude certification in Odontostomatology in 1990. His academic and clinical formation is rooted in a broad medical background that includes histology, embryology, sports medicine, general surgery, ophthalmology, dentistry, and pharmaceutical sciences, providing him with a multidisciplinary perspective essential for complex clinical and research challenges. Dr. Baldi’s research interests focus on implant-supported prosthetic rehabilitation, bioceramics and biocomposites, digital dentistry, and piezoelectric surgery techniques. He has made significant contributions to the scientific literature through numerous peer-reviewed publications and as a co-author of the Handbook of Bioceramics and Biocomposites published by Springer International Publishing. His work emphasizes the integration of biomaterials science with clinical implantology to enhance long-term functional and aesthetic outcomes in oral and maxillofacial rehabilitation. His academic career spans prestigious institutions across Europe and internationally. Dr. Baldi serves as Adjunct Professor at the University of Genoa and Associate Professor at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. He is actively involved in postgraduate education, delivering high-level and international master courses in prosthodontics, implantology, and surgery at leading universities including Genoa, Pisa, and La Sapienza University of Rome. Through these roles, he has mentored clinicians and researchers in evidence-based practices, digital workflows, and advanced surgical protocols.
