Dr. Akbar Hojjati-Najafabadi is a faculty member in the School of Materials Science and Physics at the China University of Mining and Technology, specializing in water treatment, environmental materials, biosensors, biomaterials, magnetic and dielectric materials, ceramic composites, hybrid materials, and surface engineering. He has served as an associate professor, postdoctoral researcher, and university lecturer, teaching a wide range of courses in materials science, corrosion control, engineering materials, solidification, and characterization of nanomaterials. He has also mentored numerous PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s students and delivered invited talks, keynote lectures, and short courses in materials science and magnetic materials at various academic institutions. His research experience includes projects on tunnel machine cutter rings, hybrid nanocomposite coatings, and magnetic nanoparticles. He is recognized for his scientific achievements, including being ranked among the top researchers at JXUST, receiving multiple academic honors, and actively contributing to international academic events. He has authored more than 30 journal papers and 10 conference publications, and is proficient in several scientific and engineering software tools such as Qualitek-4, Chemical Draw, Excel, CATIA, Zview, and SoftcorrIII.
